A four-year-old boy from Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, made an unexpected call to 911 last week, accusing his mother of a serious crime—eating his ice cream! The amusing incident quickly turned into a heartwarming moment when local officers decided to bring him a special treat.
Boy Calls 911 for ‘Justice’ Over Ice Cream
According to WSLS 10 News, the child dialed emergency services and told the dispatcher, “My mom is being bad.” When asked what was wrong, the little boy firmly insisted that the police should “come and get my mommy.”
As the dispatcher tried to understand the situation, the boy’s mother took the phone and explained the comical misunderstanding. “This little one got the phone, and he’s 4… he said he was going to call 911.”
The boy, still determined, interrupted, saying, “No — I called the police, and I just told her to come and get my mommy… and I just told her to put her to jail. So leave me alone.”
The mother clarified that the real reason behind the call was that she had eaten his ice cream.
Police Respond with a Sweet Gesture
Officers arrived at the scene to check on the situation, and by then, the child had calmed down and no longer wanted his mother arrested. He admitted he just wanted some ice cream.
In a touching turn of events, two officers returned to the boy’s home later with a special gift—his very own ice cream with blue sprinkles! A photo shared by the department on Facebook showed the delighted boy posing with the officers while holding his treat.
