Prof. Kishor Biradar combines NLSIU scholarship, advocacy, and a rare gift for inspiring a generation
In an era when young lawyers often spend years searching for the right foothold, Prof. Kishor Biradar chose a different path. He decided to build. An LL.M. graduate from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, and an enrolled advocate with the Bar Council of Telangana, he is not waiting for time to hand him authority. Instead, at an age when most are still finding their voice, he has stepped into leadership as the Founding In-Charge of the School of Law at St. Mary’s Rehabilitation University, Hyderabad.
What makes him remarkable is not the title, but the energy behind it. Prof. Biradar is young, deeply rooted in legal practice, and driven by a conviction that law must serve both society and the pursuit of justice. His academic journey from NLSIU gave him advanced expertise in corporate governance, legal policy, and emerging challenges, while his advocacy experience brings real courtroom wisdom into every lecture. Students do not just learn law from him; they learn how to think, how to serve, and how to lead.
His research reflects the same restless curiosity. He has published multiple papers in Scopus-indexed journals, received a Best Paper Award at an International Conference on Law and Technology, and presented at numerous national and international forums. Whether exploring the intersection of law with artificial intelligence or examining public policy through a justice lens, his scholarship speaks to a mind that refuses to settle for the ordinary.
But perhaps the most telling recognition of his impact came when he was honoured with the National Youth Inspiration Award. Unlike conventional academic accolades, this award celebrates his ability to move young hearts. Through legal aid programmes, community outreach, and dedicated mentorship, Prof. Biradar has shown that inspiring a generation is not about grand speeches—it is about showing up. His message to aspiring legal professionals is simple and lasting: “Lead with integrity, learn continuously, and let justice guide your purpose. Success in law is measured not only by professional achievements but by the positive impact we create in society.”
As he continues to shape the future of legal education, Prof. Kishor Biradar stands as a living example that talent, when paired with purpose, does not need grey hair to command respect. The future of law is young, and it is already here.
