Akshya Dharma Foundation Expands Humanitarian Efforts with Onam 2025 Drive and Free Dialysis Project

    -

Palakkad, Kerala (September 2025): The Akshya Dharma Foundation, a leading social service organization rooted in Kerala, marked another milestone in its journey of compassion with the distribution of Onam grocery kits to 500 families in Palakkad. The event, held at the Oackscroft Home Appliances showroom in Kallekad, was inaugurated by Palakkad MP V. K. Sreekandan and presided over by Chairman Vince Thomas. Founder Sasi Krishnasamy, Directors Abraham and Ashik Mepparambu, and CEO Niyas Kn addressed the gathering, emphasizing the Foundation’s mission of extending dignity and joy to underprivileged communities.

The Onam programme reflects the organization’s broader history of service. Established in 2017 after its founders were inspired by a simple act of feeding two hungry children, the movement began as the Ayngaran Foundation in Palani, Tamil Nadu. Over the years, it has grown into a global initiative with branches in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and overseas in the United States and United Kingdom. To focus more effectively on large-scale community projects, the Akshya Dharma Foundation was later formed as an extension of Ayngaran’s mission and officially transferred its registration to Palakkad in 2025.

The Foundation has been active in several humanitarian interventions, including relief during the 2018 Kerala floods, essential supply distributions across Tamil Nadu and Kerala during the COVID-19 pandemic, and immediate assistance during the 2024 Wayanad disaster. In addition to disaster relief, the organization has consistently distributed food kits during festivals such as Onam, Eid, Diwali, and Christmas, while also supporting youth with sports kits and opportunities.

Looking ahead, the Foundation has announced its most ambitious project yet: the establishment of a Free Dialysis Centre in Palakkad. The initiative, supported by Oackscroft Home Appliances Company, aims to provide free life-saving treatment to patients who are unable to afford dialysis.

Speaking at the Onam 2025 event, Chairman Vince Thomas said, “Our mission has always been to ensure that no one is left behind in times of hardship or celebration. The Free Dialysis Centre will be a major step toward healthcare equality.”

From a humble beginning on a roadside in 2017 to its current wide-reaching initiatives, the Akshya Dharma Foundation continues to grow as a pillar of support, driven by the belief that compassion must be limitless and enduring.
