Artists Mahua Gupta and Artist Suresh Sharma Inspire Young Minds at Culmination of 20-Day Summer Workshop in Jammu

The energetic and creative 20-day Summer Art Workshop, celebrating Theatre, Painting, and Dance, came to a successful close today at the iconic Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. The workshop, held from June 12th to July 2nd, 2025, was organized by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, Department of Culture, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

Esteemed visual artists Mahua Gupta and Suresh Sharma served as guiding mentors throughout the workshop, leading intensive painting sessions that encouraged students to explore their imagination, technique, and self-expression. Their collaborative mentorship created a vibrant environment where budding artists could flourish under professional guidance.
Theatre and dance components of the workshop were equally engaging, offering students the chance to build confidence, stage presence, and movement skills. The workshop culminated in a grand showcase of performances and a visual art exhibition, drawing appreciation from audiences, parents, and cultural dignitaries.
