China is set to implement a new visa policy, allowing citizens from nine more countries to enter its territory without a visa. The announcement was made by the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday, revealing that nationals from South Korea, Norway, Finland, Slovakia, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, and Liechtenstein will be eligible for visa-free entry for a period of up to 15 days. This policy will come into effect on November 8 and will remain in place until December 31, 2025.
Under the new guidelines, travelers from these nations will be permitted to enter China for various purposes, including business, tourism, family visits, or transit. This move is seen as part of China’s broader efforts to boost international tourism and improve diplomatic relations with these countries.
The policy reflects China’s ongoing adjustments to its travel regulations, especially as the country seeks to recover from the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. With an increasing number of nations being included in the visa-free entry program, China aims to encourage more visitors and enhance cultural exchange.
Travelers are advised to ensure they meet all necessary entry requirements and to stay updated on any further changes to the visa policy.
