Delhi, India – Delhi Police are in the midst of conducting a full dress rehearsal today in preparation for the upcoming G20 Summit. As part of this exercise, they are overseeing motorcade movements from various parts of the national capital to the New Delhi district.
The rehearsal timings are scheduled from 8:30 am to 12 noon, 4:30 pm to 6 pm, and 7 pm to 11 pm. Commuters have been strongly advised to opt for metro services during these times as traffic disruptions are expected.
During the motorcade rehearsals, traffic restrictions will be in place at key locations, including Sardar Patel Marg-Panchsheel Marg, Sardar Patel Marg–Kautilya Marg, Gol Methi roundabout, Mansingh Road roundabout, C-Hexagon, Mathura Road, Zakir Hussain Marg-Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Bhairon Marg-Ring Road, Satya Marg/Shantipath roundabout, Janpath–Kartavyapath, Barakhamba Road traffic signal, Tolstoy Marg, and Vivekanand Marg.
Commuters are cautioned to anticipate heavier traffic than usual along these routes and intersections. Authorities encourage individuals to plan their journeys in advance and consider alternative routes to avoid the specified areas during the designated time slots.
