Ambar Desai is an Indian artist who has gained immense recognition for his exceptional musical talent. Born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on the 9th of July 1991, Ambar has established himself as an acclaimed vocalist, performer, and composer.
Ambar’s musical talent was nurtured by renowned Hindustani semi-classical music trainers Shri Kuldeep Singh ji and Shri Harpreet Singh ji. His passion for music and his exceptional talent have earned him numerous accolades, including winning “Jo Jeeta wohi Superstar – Dahisar,” a popular Indian music competition.
Ambar’s talent has been showcased on numerous music shows, including the popular “Coke Studio” with famous artists such as Mr. Kailash Kher ji and Salim Suleiman. He has also performed in over 2000 live shows with renowned bands such as Naitik Nagda, Bhoomi Trivedi, Falguni Pathak, and Meenal Jain. Ambar is known as one of the faces of the popular Gujrati Dandiya Rass named “Rass Rang, Thane.”
Apart from his musical accomplishments, Ambar has also made a name for himself in the theatre world. He has worked with some of the most renowned theatre artists, including Nasseruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Anjan Srivastava, Rakesh Bedi, and Ramesh Talwar. Ambar is affiliated with IPTA, Mumbai.
Ambar’s creative talent is not limited to music and theatre. He has also composed a song titled “Mangal Murti” for Vazira Ganesh Mandir and Lalbagh Ganesh Mandal. His musical performances span a wide range of genres, including garba nights, Bollywood parties, and Sufi events, which he performs under the name “AD.”
Ambar’s family has also been a significant influence on his musical journey. His father, Anil Ramprasad Desai, is a well-known vocalist from Indore, and his brother Daksh Anil Desai is a renowned guitarist. Ambar’s mother, Daksha Anil Desai, is a housewife, and his wife, Rucha Ambar Desai, is a pharmacist by profession and works in the corporate world.
Ambar’s exceptional talent is not limited to music alone. During his school and college years, he also excelled in athletics and won medals at the state level in the 100 m, 200 m, and 500 m races. Ambar completed his schooling at St Lawrence High School, Mumbai, and graduated from Ritumbara College in Andheri.
