In a recent operation, the Hyderabad police have reportedly dismantled an alleged rave party held in the affluent Madhapur area of the city on Wednesday night. Three individuals, including a former Indian Navy officer turned businessman, a prominent Telugu film financier, and a South-Central Railway employee, were apprehended during the bust.
According to Superintendent of Police D Sunitha from the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB), a joint team comprising TSNAB officials and Gudimalkapur police executed a raid on an apartment suspected of hosting the rave party.
Among the detainees is B Balaji (34), a former officer of the Indian Navy who had transitioned into the business sector. The second arrestee is K Venkataratna Reddy (47), a notable figure in the Telugu film industry known for his role as a financier. The third individual taken into custody is D Murali (42), employed in the Railway Protection Force of the South Central Railway.
The crackdown follows concerns over illegal gatherings and substance abuse that often accompany rave parties. Authorities have intensified their efforts to curb such activities and maintain public safety. The joint operation between TSNAB and local law enforcement underscores their commitment to this endeavor.
