International Gangster Suspected in INLD Chief Murder, CBI Investigation Likely

In a chilling turn of events, the murder of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) chief Nafe Singh Rathi has unveiled a web of international intrigue and underworld connections. Sources close to the investigation have revealed that a notorious gangster based in the United Kingdom is suspected to be behind the orchestrated assassination, marking a concerning escalation in political violence.

The incident, which unfolded in broad daylight at a railway crossing in Haryana’s Jhajjar district, shocked the nation as Mr. Rathi’s convoy was ambushed by assailants in a swift and calculated attack. The 66-year-old leader, along with a loyal aide, tragically lost their lives in the hail of bullets, while two others sustained critical injuries. The attackers spared Mr. Rathi’s nephew, instructing him to relay the message to the family.

With the addition of three new names—Virendra Rathi, Sandeep Rathi, and Rajpal Sharma—to the FIR, the list of suspects has expanded to 15, further complicating the investigation. Of particular concern is the alleged involvement of individuals with political affiliations, indicating a dangerous nexus between organized crime and political circles.

Authorities are now widening their probe beyond national borders, focusing on a UK-based gangster known for orchestrating political assassinations, including that of a BJP leader in Delhi just months ago. It is suspected that the assailants may have been contracted by this elusive figure, prompting Haryana Police to question a close associate currently incarcerated in Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch and Special Cell have joined forces with their Haryana counterparts to untangle the complex web of interstate gangster networks. Suspicions have arisen regarding the involvement of sharpshooters associated with notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Kala Jathedi, both of whom are known for their extensive criminal enterprises spanning multiple states.

The methodical execution of Mr. Rathi’s murder bears striking similarities to previous incidents, notably the killing of Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, hinting at a common modus operandi employed by these criminal networks. Foreign-made pistols linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Godly Brar gang have been identified in both cases, further strengthening the ties between various criminal factions operating across the region.

In response to mounting pressure, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has announced the possibility of handing over the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), a move supported by opposition parties calling for a high court judge-monitored probe. The incident, labeled as the state’s “first political murder,” has ignited fierce debates on the adequacy of security measures provided to Mr. Rathi, who had reportedly sought protection due to looming threats on his life.

As the nation grapples with the ramifications of this heinous crime, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has pledged to ensure swift justice for the slain leader and his family. However, with the specter of international gangsters looming large, the road to justice appears fraught with challenges, casting a somber shadow over the state’s political landscape.
